depending on day & time, there are often between 3 and 4 trucks along Road 26 between Avenue 17 and Cleveland Avenue. One of them, "Tacos Amigos," has recently begun to build a restaurant as well.

"Got a decent pastor taco here, with a nice charcoal-smoke flavor. Offers the option of sour creama and cheese on your taco (50 cents extra), again, I think, to appeal to the African-Americans in the neighborhood, as that menu item was in English only (and I don't think I saw another Caucasian the entire time I was in that area)."

home base of the Casa Maria taco trucks. Sign says "Barbacoa dehorno estilo Hildalo, Texcoco, Toluca, D.F.Y Anexas." They have three trucks that go to various spots in Oakland, and one is usually in front, or else the restaurant itself is open. They also serve huitlicoche!

"There is a really really goot truck on the corner of 14th and D in Downtown Modesto called Vallarta, they have great burritos and $1.00 Tacos no carnitas but the grilled chicken and carne asada and pastor are all yumm. Also if they are too crowded there is the Taco Truck Row on 8th Street between H & I, I highly recommend one of the two Jessica trucks especially Jessica #4, they have great ceviche and carnitas. OR if you are in Turlock the El Rancherita Carneceria y Mercado on West Main has BOMB Burritos for under 5 bucks and thats for the Champion which is like TWO regular burritos, or you can go to the restraunt on the other side of the store which is also called El Rancherita, they have a CHEAP buffet with really really good food and its only like 7 or 8 bucks and they have great Dollar Margaritas all week long.
